Project Overview
Yorick is a 2.5D vertical scrolling platformer.
You play as a skull trying to escape a cave to reach its body.
To reach your goal you will need to jump with accuracy from one slimy platform to another in 3 levels introducing new challenges like moving platforms and darkness.
My Contribution
The project was developped in the span of one week by 3 Game designers from ican.
I was in charge of the programming, and the Game Design.
I also made the level design including layout mapping ligthing and integration.



Challenges
In Yorick the main challenges were related to the time we had to developp the game (5 days).
Since i worked with two 3d artists we decided to focus our efforts towards the art and ambiance.
While beeing the programmer I spent the majority of the time integrating assets and sounds, level designing the levels and blocking with probuilder, designing the mechanics and setting up the lightning of the scene.
In the end i learned a lot in beeing proficient and fast in unity and its production pipeline.
